Why won't my app run offline on Android or iOS?

Currently, MarTech3D apps do not support offline functionality on mobile or tablet devices — including iOS and Android.

This applies to both phones and tablets, regardless of model or operating system.

Why not?

The decision to limit offline support to Windows desktop and laptop devices is due to several important technical and practical factors:

  • 📱 Mobile OS fragmentation – Frequent updates and changes in iOS and Android operating systems make long-term offline compatibility unreliable.
  • 🔧 Hardware variability – Huge differences in device specs (especially on Android) can affect 3D performance and stability.
  • 📦 Storage and file system limitations – Mobile devices restrict how apps can store and access large, complex 3D files offline.
  • 🔐 Security and browser sandboxing – Native offline storage for large app data is often blocked or restricted on mobile platforms.

Is there any workaround?

If you need offline access on a mobile or tablet device, we offer a custom-built native app as a paid service.

To request a native iOS or Android version of your app, please contact your Martech3D account manager. These are quoted separately and built specifically for your needs.

Can I still view my app online on mobile?

Yes — you can always access your app in online mode via a browser on your phone or tablet, provided:

  • Your app is hosted and live
  • You're using a modern browser (e.g. Chrome or Safari)

Note: Performance may vary on mobile depending on your device and connection.

What devices are supported offline?

Only Windows desktops and laptops support offline mode using the MarTech3D Launcher.
