Navigation options

MarTech3D offers a wide range of navigation options — from traditional UI menus to immersive in-scene triggers — allowing you to build tailored, intuitive journeys for any use case, from product configurators to interactive showrooms and training tools.

🧩 1. Standard Web-Style Menus

Use familiar menu formats for fast, accessible navigation:

  • Top or side bar menus (2D)
  • Dropdowns or tabs
  • Sticky UI elements

These menus are ideal for quickly jumping to products, categories, or feature sections.

🧱 2. Tile-Based Dashboards

Perfect for home screens or entry points into an experience, tile navigation can:

  • Showcase product families or app sections
  • Feature branded imagery or animations
  • Be styled with hover effects, logic triggers, or entry transitions

These are especially popular in multi-product experiences or showrooms.

🗺️ 3. 3D Isometric Maps

Create immersive, clickable map-based navigation:

  • Users click zones or icons within a stylised 3D overview
  • Can represent physical buildings, process flow, or regional hubs
  • Customisable camera paths and transitions

Great for simulating facilities, training zones, or showroom layouts.

🔘 4. Scene-Based Navigation via Hotspots

Hotspots can be placed anywhere in the 3D environment to act as navigation triggers:

  • Click to move to new scenes or perspectives
  • Trigger content panels or product menus
  • Logic-controlled appearance (e.g. after a step is completed)

Hotspots can be static, animated, or invisible.

🎥 5. Animated Camera Transitions

Rather than abrupt scene switches, you can create smooth:

  • Fly-ins, pans, or zoom transitions
  • Cinematic flows between product areas
  • Guided motion along predefined paths

Improves UX and helps orient users naturally within 3D space.

🎯 6. CTAs as Navigation Tools

Call-to-action buttons can also navigate users through the experience:

  • In-scene or UI-based CTAs
  • Trigger camera movement or open new modules
  • Dynamic visibility based on logic or behaviour

Often used in guided flows or campaign-led experiences.

🧭 7. Breadcrumb-Style UI

Breadcrumbs are useful for multi-step experiences, enabling users to:

  • See where they are in the journey
  • Return to previous sections or checkpoints
  • Reduce confusion in longer or branching user flows

They can be fixed or context-sensitive.

🧠 8. Dynamic & Custom Navigation Flows

Using the Martech3D Engine’s logic tools, you can create fully tailored flows:

  • Update menus or scenes based on user selections
  • Personalise the journey (e.g. sector, location, role)
  • Use conditional visibility and content logic to guide progress

Great for configurators, assessments, or learning modules.

💡 Combine Navigation Types

Most experiences benefit from a combination of:

  • UI menus for quick access
  • Hotspots and CTAs for in-context movement
  • Transitions and maps for immersion
  • Breadcrumbs and logic for structure
