Using 3D Models On Amazon Product Pages
Amazon has its own strict rules for product content. Unlike your website or marketing materials, you cannot directly embed 3D models (iframes) into Amazon product pages. However, you can still use models created in Martech3D | Engine in a different way.
How Amazon Handles 3D Content
No iframes or interactive embeds allowed
Product descriptions and A+ content cannot include external embeds.
Amazon only accepts raw 3D files
Supported formats are GLB and USDZ, which Amazon uses in its own 3D/AR viewer ("View in Your Room").
Hotspots and interactive features will not be supported
Amazon strips everything down to the base 3D model.
Recommended Workflow
Create your interactive 3D model in MarTech3D | Engine
Add hotspots, annotations, and interactivity for your website, sales tools, and media.
Use the iframe embed option to publish this version where you control the environment (e.g. product pages on your own site, digital brochures, LinkedIn posts, etc.).
Download the GLB file from Martech3D | Engine
This is the raw 3D model optimised for external use.
While it won’t include hotspots or custom interactions, it will be lightweight and Amazon-ready.
Upload the GLB file into Amazon Seller Central
- Log in to Seller Central
- Go to A+ Content Manager → Upload 3D assets
- Select the relevant ASIN(s) and attach your GLB file
- Once approved, Amazon automatically generates a 3D viewer for shoppers
Key Benefits
Dual-purpose assets
Your 3D model serves both your own marketing (full interactive version) and Amazon listings (streamlined GLB/AR version).
Added value
Since your models are already created in Martech3D | Engine, exporting to GLB for Amazon is simply an extra bonus output.
Consistent branding
Customers see the same product in 3D both on Amazon and in your own marketing ecosystem.
Summary
- Use the Martech3D embed → on your website, brochures, LinkedIn, and anywhere you control the environment
- Download the GLB file → for Amazon uploads (without hotspots or annotations)
- Result: Maximum reach with a single set of 3D assets
