📦 How to Add a Product to Your Product Library

In MarTech3D | Engine, every product begins with a simple entry into your library. Here's how to create a new product, step by step.

✅ Step-by-Step Guide

1. Go to “Products”

From the main menu, select Products. This opens your product library, where you can manage all existing products.

2. Click “Add New Product”

In the top-right of the screen, click the + Product button.

3. Start with a Name and Description

• Product Name – e.g. "Model X100"
  • Your product name must be unique
  • You will use your product name to identify and search for your products
  • Your product name will be shown to your customers on shared links (if you enable it to be shown)
• Short Description – optional, but useful for clarity
  • When you search for a product in your library, it will also search words from your description
  • Your product description will be shown to your customers on shared links (if you enable it to be shown)

4. Add Optional Tags

You can also include tags to help with search and filtering

• You can add new tags
• You can choose more than one tag
• You will use tags to sort, filter and search for products

5. Upload Product Files (Optional at this Stage)

.stp file:

Click "Select .stp file" to upload a 3D model of your product in .stp file format

Don't have a .stp file?

No problem! To view your product in 3D you can upload a .glb file, or you can submit a request for us to create the right file type for you

Marketing-ready .glb file

Click "Select .glb file" to upload a 'marketing-ready' 3D model of your product in a standard .glb file format

• The 3D model should include textures and materials (i.e. be 'coloured in')
• The file size should be less than 15mb for viewing in your browser and on smartphones
• A .glb file is required to view your product in 3D or to render 3D product images

Don't have a .glb file?

No problem! You can submit a design request for us to create a marketing-ready .glb file for you, based on your other 3D files or even by designing one from scratch

High quality .glb file for creating product image renders

Click "Select .glb file" to upload a 3D model of your product in a high quality .glb file format

• This should be a .glb file with full 3D details for high quality rendering

Don't have a high quality .glb file?

No problem! If you have a smaller standard .glb file you can still create medium-high quality product image renders. Or you can submit a design request for us to create a high quality .glb file for you

6. Save the Product

Click Create Product. The product will now appear in your library and be ready for:

• Managing 3D files
• Creating and sharing a 3D model with feature hotspots
• Sharing for viewing in augmented reality (AR)
• Creating product image renders
• Adding to your 3D apps
